Married couple enjoy their first dance at Carden Park Wedding

Carden Park Wedding – Kayleigh and Mark

Wow! What a place, Carden Park is everything you would imagine a luxury wedding venue to be. And more!

Set amidst acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside and just a short drive from Chester, Carden Park is the perfect spot for an elegant wedding. Kayleigh and Mark fell in love with it as soon as they set eyes on the venue and knew it was the only place they wanted to get married.

That morning Kayleigh was getting ready in the bridal suite, chatting away to her bridesmaids whilst getting the finishing touches to her hair and makeup. Everyone was in high spirits, enjoying a glass or two of fizz and taking plenty of photos with the BRIDE balloons!

Mark was just a few floors away, with his family. Groom prep is generally a more sedate affair, everyone is just eager to get suited and booted and down to the bar! There’s always a bit of a kerfuffle when it comes to ties though. This is where YouTube comes in handy! I always end up recommending it to grooms and best men who are struggling a bit. Having said that, tie and pocket square struggles make for some great photos!

Back upstairs Kayleigh and her bridesmaids were peeking out of the window at guests arriving. It was time for Kayleigh to put on her stunning Pronovias dress and go get married!

Wedding portraits at Carden Park

Following their emotional ceremony, and after the newly weds had been engulfed in hugs and kisses by their guests, it was time for me to sneak away with them for their portraits.

I always divide my wedding portrait shoots up into a few short sessions, so I don’t keep the couple away from their reception for too long. At this point in the day, post ceremony but pre wedding breakfast, Kayleigh, Mark and I took twenty minutes out to have a wander around Carden Park’s beautiful grounds and get some beautiful, natural pictures of the two of them.

Then, as the light goes and there’s a bit of an evening lull (before the dancefloor gets going) I’ll always ‘borrow’ the couple again and get a bit more creative. This is the point where I’ll break out my lights, get arty and  create something pretty special for them. This doesn’t take long at all and before they know it they’ll be back in the room ready to take to the floor for their first dance. This is exactly what happened with Kayleigh and Mark! They couldn’t quite believe how fast I worked, but it was exactly what they’d booked me for. I wasn’t going to interrupt them dancing the night away to Soul Revolver

Here are some of my favourites from Mark and Kayleigh’s Carden Park wedding, what a day!
